
The Longsa Gazetted Officers’ Union celebrated its Silver Jubilee on the 16th Dec, 2020 at Yim Ki, Kohima, on the Theme, “Towards a vibrant society”. The occasion was graced by I. Meyionen, IGP & Director Nagaland Lokayuta Police and President of Kohima Ao officers Telongjem as the Guest Speaker. In his speech he praised the union for having the vision to start such a forum 25 years ago. He said that a vibrant society is an inclusive society and encouraged the members of the LGOU to work not only for its people but should also strive to contribute to the growth of the Aos and the Nagas in general.
The Program was chaired by LGOU office bearers, remembering the depart by R. Takamanen Jamir, (Rtd) Dy. Dir & Ex. President LGOU, followed by invocation Likok Jamir, Kohima Longsa Fellowship I/c. I. Lipokonen Jamir, Dy. Dir (Agri) President, LGOU pronounced the welcome address while Alemtemshi Jamir IAS (Rtd) Chief Sect. Treasure, LGOU shared LGOU, the inception and Scope. Other heighlights of the program included Special No. by Kohima Longsa Kaketshir Telongjem, short speeches by Dr. Temsuwati (Rtd) Addl. Dev. Commissioner, Ex. President LGOU, R. Lepden, Ex. MLA & Tiyongmeren Jamir, RCS followed by Felicitation & release of Souvenir. Jubilee Blessings was pronounced by Mapula Longkumer, wife of Lt. Rongsentemjen first President LGOU. While word of graditude and appreciation by Imtiakum Dy. Secy (Justice & Law) convenor, program committee. The program concluded with benediction by Alemtoshi Longkumer (Retd) Jt. Director followed by Jubilee feast.
