
A review meeting on COVID-19 status of Mokokchung district was held on 20th August 2021 along with the state Nodal Officer on COVID-19. The meeting was held at ADC Planning conference hall.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Task Force Mokokchung. The meeting was attended by the members of the District Task Force (DTF).
While addressing the participants, Sachin Jaiswal Joint secretary, Agriculture and state level monitoring team COVID-19 said that their purpose of visit is to support and assess problems related to COVID-19 and its management.
He lauded the efforts made by the District Task Force Mokokchung for achieving good coverage of vaccination in the district. While discussing the COVID status he said, the priority area should be COVID testing. Strengthening of monitoring and contact tracing. He also suggested to increase the average of contact tracing and added that efforts can be made to achieve 100% vaccination for those villages who have achieved 90% for low vaccine coverage areas below 50% the district Task Force was encouraged to put in more effort.
Dr. Kika Longkumer Joint Director and State Level Monitoring team stressed on the importance for monitoring of patients under home isolation and timely testing /treatment. He also called for Intensive contact tracing for all positive cases, to halt the spread of the Pandemic.
The meeting was followed by discussion where the participants shared their doubts and problems faced during their COVID related activity/duties. After the meeting the state level monitoring team visited the COVID Care Centre (CCC) District Hospital and COVID Hospital.
