
The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of October and November 2021 was held on the 8th of November 2021 at the ADC Planning Conference Hall Mokokchung. The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Shri. Tongpang Ozukum Hon’ble Minister PWD (Housing and Mechanical) and chairman DPDB Mokokchung.
The meeting starts with the distribution of Certificate and cash to the Essay competition organized by Raj Bhavan on occasion of Gandhi jayanti 2021. To the winners, first, Alemmeren B. Longkumer Jubilee Memorial School Mokokchung. Second, Senmangba Jamir Jubilee Memorial School Mokokchung.
The meeting starts with the review of the last meeting agendas.
- Youth Hostel Mokokchung.
The Chairman stated that he personally met the concerned Minister and also submitted a representation on the project on which he reports the house to wait from the concerned department for the continuation of the project work.
- Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Tuli.
The Chairman DPDB stated that the land owner of the school is willing to give land free of cost for the establishment of the school to continue. Therefore, he stated that the school should not be closed down.
- Construction of Pedestrian Footbridge for main junction.
The chairman stated that he met the concerned department “Urban Department” and discussed the project thoroughly and is waiting for the reply from the department whether to continue the agenda.
- Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) Dumping Site.
On the agenda ADC and MMC affairs Mokokchung stated that the village councils and owners of land in the present MMC Dumping Site are not willing to sell the land (for Outright Purchase) to the MMC over which the house discussed the issue to find means and solve the problem.
- Mokokchung Highway By-pass road.
On the agenda, PWD Department submitted the DPR to the house and also the department reported that, they met the land owners (Villages) and also stated the outcome of the meeting was the land owners are willing to allow the construction of the road and extend all support and co-operate for the success of the project.
- Medical equipments for combating Covid-19 in the district.
The house approved the list of required Medical equipments for combating Covid-19 in the district tabled by the Chief Medical Officer Mokokchung. The house unanimously approved the proposed equipments for procurement.
The house also accepted the translated Documents of Village Councils Act Nagaland submitted by the select committee for approval.
After thorough deliberation, the house approved the registration of society (Soul Care) Chami Village-reg society for care and support to orphan children.
New member Shri. B. Imti Tzudir District Agricultural Officer (DAO) Mokokchung was introduced to the house.n
