Tuli, July 30:  The Department of Horticulture, Govt. of Nagaland established a Sub-Divisional Horticulture Office at Tuli on Saturday and was inaugurated by Mhathung Yanthan, Advisor Horticulture and Border affairs.

Speaking at a brief inaugural program, Yanthan asserted that Tuli can be turned into an ‘Agro based Industrial Hub’ stating that the area has a lot of potential in Horti as well as Agri produce owing to the rich fertility of the soil while also adding that the geographical nearness to the bordering state of Assam complements in creating profitable marketing avenues and employment opportunities thereby creating a sustainable economy for the people. He went on to say that the SDHO office was established for the welfare of the people and requested the citizens to make the best use out of it.

During the program short speeches were delivered by T. Nukshi Yaden, All Ward Chairman, Tuli Town and Shaying Sheu, ADC Tuli while the Welcome Address was presented by Imotemjen DHO, Mokokchung and Dr. Imchalemla, SDHO, Tuli exhorted the Vote of thanks. The program was chaired by Dr. R. Elithung Lotha, Director, Dept. of Horticulture, Kohima, Nagaland while Rev. C. Tongpang, Pastor, Tuli Lenden pronounced the dedicatory prayer.
