
Mokokchung, 20th Oct 2022: Mokokchung District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held today 20th Oct 2022 at the DC’s Conference Hall, Mokokchung, under the chairmanship of MLA & Chairman, DPDB Mokokchung, Imkong L. Imchen.
The department of health & family welfare gave a power point presentation on TB elimination and reported that in Mokokchung presently there are 185 TB patients. The Health officials also urged the members to come forward with every possible help, saying that it is only through collective effort that TB can be eradicated.
Report on Livelihood Project taken up by DPDB under LADP (Common Pool) 2021-2022, was taken. The 5 member committee, headed by the deputy commissioner, reported that the project was taken up by Brooding & Distributing of 10,000 nos. of 14 days old Broiler Chicks to 100 beneficiaries (SHGs and Individuals) covering all 10 Constituencies.
During the 6 week exercise, the team inspected and monitored the beneficiaries in 4 Phase. The success story of the Livelihood Project taken up by DPDB Mokokchung has been reported that, total investment was 10 Lakhs and total turnover of the beneficiaries was 22 Lakhs 10 thousand. Livelihood Project Best Farmer Award was given to Mr. Moatemsü from Aonglenden Constituency.
In the meeting, shifting of the present NST office and all Public Transport Buses (Both Govt. & Private) to ISBT Khensa was discussed. During discussion, MLA & Chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Imkong L. Imchen maintained that the issue is genuine and has been discussed in many occasions and see no reason why the process of shifting to its proper location is being delayed. He asked the concern officials in the district to convey the department whatever has been discussed in the meeting.
