Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mangkolemba, T. Lankonsen Tsanglao, has informed all villages under the Mangkolemba Sub-Division that hunting of all kinds has been outlawed under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972 and that the killing of migratory birds such as the famed Amur Falcon passing through the sub-division will attract penal action.

Further, VCCs are directed to report incidents of this nature if they occur in their respective jurisdictions to the concerned department.
